Enfold offers the following programs targeted at schools:-

• On Track
  A Workbook series on Life Skills and Personal safety, designed for grades 3 -12. This comes with a teacher and parent manual. Schools can use the same as part of their value education /moral science books.

Life Skills based Personal Safety Programme for Students

Dr Sangeeta Saksena and Dr Shaibya Saldanha started Enfold Trust in 2001, realizing that parents and teachers were grappling to deliver information on gender sensitization, responsible sexuality and personal safety in a comfortable, non-judgmental manner. They created a unique, scientific and value based program on Life Skills, Gender Empowerment, Sexuality and Personal safety for children as young as pre-school children, to almost adult college students.

Over the years Enfold has developed a psychologically sound and effective ways of equipping children with survival techniques in a rapidly changing and globalizing society. We have designed and a 5/6 Value Based curriculum in Life Skills, Gender Empowerment and Personal Safety for school students. It couples humane values with modern scientific knowledge to give the child a firm foundation to explore his / her life. Students develop self-esteem, responsibility and empathy. They use Life Skills to learn to live in harmony with themselves and the society.

The world is presented to the students, not as a dangerous place to be scared of, but as a place where they can claim a space of their own to live a life of happiness and contentment. Older students learn about responsible sexuality.

On Track

On Track is a workbook- series on Life Skills and Personal safety. Co-authored by Dr Sangeeta Saksena and Dr Shaibya Saldanha, founders of Enfold Trust and Prof Dr Shekhar Seshadri, NIMHANS(published by Macmillan India) .These books are designed for grades 3 -12 and are based on Enfold’s work with students, parents and teachers, have reached over 3 lakh students, their parents and teachers across India. Studies, based on these workbooks, have been published in journals and presented in international conferences. On Track appears to be effective in bringing about a change in student’s behaviour and attitude. As per the feedback from 200 students:

• 96% reported improved self-awareness.
• 92% reported improved communication.
• 81% reported improvement in handling emotions.
• 78% reported increased personal safety awareness.

Schools can use the same as part of their value education/moral science books. Adequate orientation and training will be provided, to teachers, by the authors, through Macmillan
