Position: Programme Coordinator
Reports to: Co-Directors, Restorative Practices
Location: Bangalore
Full / part time: Full-time and in-person

Key Responsibilities

1. Organise and develop programs to advance restorative practices in the child protection system, schools, and other spaces.
2. Assist in implementing projects and ensure that deliverables are met within the given timelines.
3. Support fund-raising, engage with donors, and network with partners and collaborators.
4. Leverage social media and communications to enhance the understanding of Restorative Approaches among the public and stakeholders.
5. Develop and use the knowledge, attitudes and skills required to facilitate Restorative Practices.
6. Work with child protection functionaries and support work being undertaken by the team to strengthen the child protection system.
7. Contribute to ongoing research, teaching, training, and publications on issues concerning children, on Restorative Practices and Juvenile Justice.
8. Support team members in documentation and reporting and ensure timely submission of reports to concerned authorities.
9. Any other work allocated based on mutual consultation.

Note: Training will be imparted on facilitation of Restorative Practices.

Essential:

2. Excellent communication skills
3. Ability to work under pressure and with a multidisciplinary team.
4. Demonstrated skills in engaging positively within teams and with diverse groups of people demonstrating commitment to universal human rights principles and values.
5. Experience of working in a team and willingness to contribute and learn from others.
6. Excellent proficiency in the use of computers and working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT), Google Office, use of internet, social media, and email.
7. Proficiency in speaking, reading and writing English, and at least one or more regional languages.

EDUCATION:
Preferable: Masters Degree in Social Work, Gender Studies, Sociology, Development, Education, or a related field.

WORK EXPERIENCE:
Preferable: 4-5 years of professional experience of working in the non-profit sector and experience of managing projects/teams. Candidates with sound understanding of restorative practices may be preferred.
