Key Responsibilities

● Oversee and coordinate Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. (POCSO) or other case-related activities of the team.
● Oversee the implementation of the POCSO Case Management System. Ideate and recommend suggestions to keep improving the same.
● Visiting Child Welfare Committee, Police Station, Hospital, Court whenever required; during the process of prodiving assistance to children who have faced sexual violence.
● Initiate correspondence, and communication with relevant Government departments, and other organizations and grantees, whenever required.
● Coordinate with agencies that support Enfold’s Support & Rehabilitation work with children and adults
● Identifying capacity building and subject matter training programs for all team members to attend.
● Obtaining, tracking, and maintaining project related paperwork. Assist in proposal/grant writing and report writing if required.
● Identify areas and topics for research related to the work of the team and coordinate with the Research team in conducting the research.
● Identify donors and funding agencies, over a period of time, to ensure continuity in the financial support extended to few of the children and families that the team works with.
● Analysis of data generated by the team when required
● Assisting with preparation of powerpoint presentations when required.
● Identify strengths and limitations of the team in order to look for deeper ways to engage with the criminal justice and child protection systems.

Terms of Engagement

● It is expected that Consultant will work from Monday – Friday full day (8 hours) and on
Saturday if and when cases come up and need urgent intervention.
● Enfold reserves the right to vary consultant’s duties and responsibilities from time to time
within reason and maybe requested to assist with other team related jobs
● The work may involve travel within and outside Bengaluru whenever required.
Consultant to travel on mutually agreeable dates, as far as possible .
● Any other work allocated by the Team, through mutual consultation based on priorities
identified.
● Any changes to the scope of work will be communicated and agreed mutually between
the team leads and Consultant.

Education

Master’s degree in the field of social work, mental health, or other relevant field.

Work Experience

Preferable: 2-3 years professional experience with an NGO and working with children.

2. Ability to work effectively with stakeholders and people from diverse backgrounds in a mutually respectful way.
3. Capable of defining emotional boundaries to remain objective, while handling children who have faced trauma and sexual violence.
4. Good problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
5. Good communication, writing, interpersonal and technical skills
6. Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality in dealing with case matters.
7. Ability to prioritize work efficiently
8. Ability to be a team player, be self-motivated and drive the team to achieve their goals
9. Applicants must be friendly, courteous and have a professional approach.
10. Proficiency with Google, Word, Excel preferred

LANGUAGES

English, Kannada speaking (reading and writing is necessary). Proficiency in speaking Hindi would be an added advantage.

Note: The candidate will receive an in-depth and hands-on orientation to familiarize themselves with all aspects of the work. They will receive complete support of the team members at the initial stages and will continue to work with the team that supports each other.
